After a scenic train ride from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen in the canton of Bern, you have an incredible view into the Lauterbrunnen valley with its many waterfalls. Combined with some fog, this becomes a mystical and fantastic view. No wonder the author of Lord of the Rings J.R.R. Tolkien was inspired by this view. The idea for the place "Rivendell" from the book Lord of the Rings comes from this very view.
